Just another day at the construction site
A few things to report from laying eyeballs on the apartments site today: 1) Massive piles of dirt (you know, the ones involved with the "minimal earthmoving") and moving equipment plus even the slightest breeze means dust. Lots of dust. 2) Shouldn't there be a traffic control flagman or something for those big trucks? The one in the photo waited until it was safe to exit the site. The truck before it didn't. And 3) To its credit, the project is no longer filling its water trucks illegally at neighborhood fire hydrants. Now the water truck fills up at the on-site hydrant that has a Sac Suburban Water District meter on it. At least they are paying for water the way the rest of us have to.
