Multi-county agencies

In between our state and local governments is a regional level that has authority for certain services that are best delivered at a sub-state level, providing coordination among two or more counties. An example is the distribution of transportation funds that support mobility for people and goods. See the pages below for details.

Sacramento Area Council of Governments

The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is an association of local governments in six-counties in our region. The members include El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba counties and 22 cities in those counties.
