Happy Holidays 2020!
2020 is finally coming to a close! It's been quite a test for everyone, hasn't it? And, no, we're not out of the woods yet. January 1st, 2021, won't be a magic bullet that wipes away the pandemic and restores the economy. But with the vaccine beginning to be made available, the new year represents a way back. So here's a wish from us for everyone to have a joyous holiday season and a restorative new year.
We sent an email to everybody on our email list this week. For those of you not on the distribution list, here's what it said:
"HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM THE ADVOCATES FOR ARDEN ARCADE! Goodbye to 2020. And hello 2021! In 2019 you told us you want local control, democracy, and your own Mayor and City Council to focus on local priorities. You said our community is important and deserves respect. Then came the pandemic and economic peril. 2021 seems to show light at the end of the tunnel. The old days can't come back. But what lies ahead? As Covid-19 and 2020 get behind us, what kind of economic recovery do we want? Can we all work together in 2021 to make a better future for our community? Please reach out to us and our new County Supervisor, Rich Desmond (rich@richdesmond.com), to make your voices heard.
We've been busy in 2020. Despite the pandemic:
- We totally revised our website. Let us know how you feel about it!
- You can still find the website at www.advocatesforardenarcade.com.
- Our email address changed to advocatesforardenarcade@gmail.com.
We have plans to move forward in 2021. Hope you will join us!"
If you did not get that email, but would like to get occasional future emails from us, please let us know at advocatesforardenarcade@gmail.com.
